First Strides - Learn to Skate
Skaters looking to learn basic skating skills will work their way through four levels of the First Strides segment of the program.
Fast Strides – Learn to Speed Skate
Skaters looking to add speed to their skill set will advance through six levels of the Fast Strides program. Coaches will teach participants how to race on ice, preparing them for friendly competitions and Meets.

Speed Sledge
We are pleased to work in partnership with Special Olympics Nova Scotia to offer Special Olympics speed skating programming to skaters of all ages and abilities.
Sledge racing was one of the first sports included in the Paralympic Games, in which it was known as Ice Sledge Speed Skating.
Dartmouth Crossing Speed Skating Club offers programs for all ages and abilities at the RBC Centre on Commodore Drive in Burnside, including learn to skate, learn to speed skate, competitive speed skating, and recreational speed skating programs.
Don't forget to check whether you may be eligible for KidSport or JumpStart funding. We are a registered organization for both funding programs.

Fast Strides / Skill Development - 7:10pm Tuesdays &/or Thursdays
